Clearing a Lawn of Wild Onions

I am sure that there are some gardeners and home owners that just despise those pesky wild onion plants that appear on our lawns during the early fall months every year.  There are several ways to rid a lawn of these terrible weeds.
Gardeners and home owners can use a wide variety of chemical solutions that can be purchased at a home and garden center.  These solutions will need to be applied to these weeds at certain times so it is best to get all the information needed when purchasing these.  Also it may be hard to kill these weeds with chemicals because their stems or leaves will grow straight and will allow chemical solutions to roll right off of them.  They are very hard weeds to kill so it might talk some work.  It is also a good idea to mow over these before it gets really cold one night and that may help to kill them out if it is going to frost real heavy that evening.
Another way to get rid of these weed is if you only have a few in the yard they can be dug up but you need to make sure that they are dug up completely and none of the bulbs are left.  If there are any bulbs left from the plant they will come right back in no time at all.  Also the bulbs from these pesky weeds can grow under the soil about 6 inches deep.  Do not try to pull them up because you will probably not be able to get roots and bulbs out this way.  They will need to be dug up individually and taken care of.
Getting rid of these weeds can be a very big job and it may also help to mow over them and open up their leaves so that any chemical solutions that are used can penetrate the leaves and stay on them.  They have a really smooth leave and liquids seem to run right off of them.  Gardenersand home owners can check with a local home and garden center to find out the best way to get rid of these.  Also when they are mowed they will put off a strong onion odor that is just terrible unless you like the smell of onions.  These weeds haunt all gardeners and home owners every year if they are not properly removed when they are seen growing.

Bushes can bring life to any area

Bushes are ideal for an area that does not have a lot of room.  Bushes will also bring a property to life because they come in a wide selection.  Bushes can be found that will be green all year long and there are also bushes that will produce beautiful and colorful blooms during certain times of the year.

Bushes can be used to create wonderful and beautiful gardens and natural areas.  Bushes will also add a lot of curb appeal to a home or lawn and they can be stunning when taken care of.  Bushes are not usually very hard to grow and get started on a lawn and are usually pretty fast growers when they get established in the correct soil conditions.

Bushes can also be purchased in a selection of different sizes.  Bushes can be bought that are already 2 to 3 feet high and they can also be purchased as very young plants so that the gardener can start them and shape them to certain heights and specifications.  Consumers will pay more for the larger size bushes rather than the smaller ones.

To get bushes growing and for them to become healthy it is important to find out about them before they are purchased.  Garden Delights Online Nursery has all the information needed for the bushes that they sell and even have the heights and size information as to how large or small their bushes will become.  They also offer all the soil information and light information to make bushes thrive.

Flowering bushes will provide a garden with beautiful color when in bloom and can also attract a wide variety of birds to a garden or lawn.  Bushes can also be trimmed and shaped to suit a garden or provide beautiful shrubbery to line long walkways or driveways for homeowners and business owners.  Flowering bushes such as the Hibiscus bush are beautiful and come in different colors such as white, pink and also red.  Some of the flowering bushes will also supply wonderful fragrances that can be enjoyed while they are in bloom.  Azalea bushes are another great one for homeowners.  When several are planted and they all bloom they can create a spectacular view and beautiful color.  When purchasing bushes it is great to know which ones will thrive in certain climates and become great additions to certain areas on lawns and properties.  Consumers and landscapers will need to make sure that the bushes that they purchase will have room to grow and thrive and will have the right amount of water and sunlight.

Best Shrubs to Use in Landscaping

One of the first decisions to make in landscaping is which plants to use. It takes all kinds of plants to make up a garden, but shrubs usually provide the structure. Start by selecting a few popular bushes that you love. Finding a nursery that has quality bushes for sale is also a must:

Burning Bushes are one example of a popular classic plant. They are beloved for their compact habit and beautiful foliage. What really makes burning bushes stand out, however, is their stunning fall color. Around September or October, the leaves, turn a fiery red. They almost look like they are on fire. Grow them for hedges or as a specimen plant.

Its almost impossible to go wrong with a selection of viburnum bushes. There are a number of popular varieties in this genus. What they all have in common is a beautiful floral display. Perhaps the fragrant snowball varieties are the most popular of all. With their large snowball clusters of sweetly fragrant flowers, it is easy to see why these types of viburnum bushes are at the top of so many peoples’ lists.

Rhododendrons are excellent for that partly shaded section of the landscape. They can grow in full sun, but will work harder for you if they have some shade during the day. Rhododendrons come in many sizes and shapes, from two foot tall bushes to twenty foot tall trees. With their evergreen leaves gracing your landscape you will be able to enjoy green all year long.

For plants that bloom all summer long, hydrangeas and potentillas are great options. Hydrangeas prefer some shade. Blossoms usually appear in July and last well into fall. Most hydrangeas have either pink or blue flowers. A few, such as Annabelle and Pee Gee, bear white flowers. It may be difficult to find a good variety of hydrangea bushes for sale locally. Try looking for an online plant nursery for a broad selection.

Potentillas are smaller, compact shrubs that love full sun. They usually top out at three feet in height. The flowers tend to be yellow, creamy white, or a soft pink. These shrubs will bloom heavily all summer long.

Lilacs are a favorite for fragrant spring flowers. The common lilac grows to about twelve feet in height, but there are many smaller varieties to choose from.

The best place to start looking for bushes for sale is at an online plant nursery. You will find pictures, information and a great selection.
